In Mexico the families celebrate all their deceased loved ones the 1st and 2nd of November.

It´s a  tradition to keep alive the memories of the deceased relatives and friends.

The way of Raíces to celebrate Day of the Dead

Raíces has been celebrating Day of the Dead around the 2nd of November in Aarhus for some years now.

It is a celebración, a party for families with or without children and individuels.

We present authentic méxican meals and enjoy mexican or latin american live music.

The event also consists of several workshop and activities like the following:

• Facepaint a la Catrina and Catrin
• Making Diadems of flowers
• Making marionets of Catrina and Catrin
• Write a letter to a deceased loved one
• and more . . . 

We are always looking for volunteers to assist us at the Day of the Dead. So please write us if interested.
