About us
RAÍCES is a non-profit volunteer association focusing on creating bridges between the Danish culture and the spanish speaking cultures and supporting and promoting the integration of Spanish speaking people living in Denmark.
The association was founded in April 2018 in Aarhus by Vanesa Sánchez-Guajardo thanks to the support and trust of many others.
WHAT does RAICES mean?
It was decided to give the name "RAÍCES" to the organization because it refers to the roots of the Spanish speaking people and adding the new roots that these people are anchoring in Denmark. In other words, the mixture of Hispanic and Danish roots characterize the members of our organization.
The purposes of RAÍCES

Maintain and transmit to future generations the Hispanic cultural roots.

Promote local Spanish speakers and create meeting and coexistence places.

Create spaces for cultural exchange to promote closer ties between Spanish-Danish cultures.
